If you’re looking for a stylish, dog-friendly hotel in London that blends art, architecture and comfort, art’otel London Battersea ticks all the right boxes. Overlooking the iconic chimneys, this vibrant hotel is a destination in itself – complete with a rooftop infinity pool, art-inspired interior design and an on-site restaurant that truly rolls out the red carpet for four-legged guests… Not to mention the fact that Battersea Power Station is literally on your doorstep, so you have access to a vast array of shops, bars and restaurants.
My two pugs, Oscar and Henry came along to put this luxury stay to the test – from head scratches to gifted cheese (yes, you read that right). Read on for an honest review from both dog and owner – sharing our genuine experience from check-in to check-out.
The Room
We stayed in a Junior Suite, offering an impressive 60 square metres of space – almost unheard of for London. With a separate lounge, bedroom and bathroom, it felt more like a stylish apartment than a hotel room.
A handwritten note, chocolates (which were to die for – and I’m not the biggest chocolate fan) and a On arrival, we were greeted with a handwritten note, chocolates (which were to die for – and I’m not the biggest chocolate fan) and a cheese board. The suite came with a Nespresso machine, a good selection of teas, and complimentary water.
The bathroom was a highlight, with both a bath and a separate shower, a real luxury in London, plus Kevin Murphy toiletries, robes, slippers and even a Dyson Airwrap and Supersonic hair dryer.
In the lounge, a desk area, record player and smart TV added a nice touch, while the super king-size bed was as comfortable as it looked. But the real showstopper was the floor-to-ceiling windows, offering stunning views of the Battersea chimneys and the London skyline. Flooded with daylight, the suite felt bright, uplifting and beautifully designed.

Hotel Facilities
The rooftop infinity pool offers panoramic views over the Battersea Power Station chimneys and the London skyline. It’s advertised as heated, though it can feel a bit nippy outside of summer. Right beside it, the rooftop hot tub provides a warmer spot to soak while taking in the views.
The rooftop bar is another highlight – perfect for evening cocktails or a sunset drink, though it’s worth noting that dogs aren’t allowed in this area.
Downstairs, guests can make use of a fitness centre, where there’s a sauna, steam room and treatment rooms. Just to point out, these are downstairs, so I’d suggest wrapping up in your robe for the journey down from the pool.
The hotel also has art gallery spaces and plenty of stylish lounges dotted with contemporary artwork, to relax in. The hotel runs regular creative events and on set days, SUP yoga sessions in (or on) the rooftop pool.
Dog-Friendliness
When it comes to welcoming dogs, art’otel London Battersea genuinely gets it right. From the moment we arrived, the team made Oscar and Henry feel like VIPs. The reception staff greeted them with plenty of fuss and even remembered their names throughout our stay. A member of the team has a pug herself, so we bonded over a love for the breed.
In our Junior Suite, the boys were treated to their own beds, Lily’s Kitchen Biscuits, a meal bar, two bowls (one for food and one for water) and poo bags – thoughtful touches that make travelling with dogs so much easier.
The TOZI Restaurant team were equally wonderful. The dogs were invited to sit beside us at breakfast and dinner, given water bowls and even offered a little cheese treat (which went down very well). Staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more attentive.
Dogs are welcome in the restaurant and lounge areas, though not on the rooftop (where the pool and bar are). Overall, this is one of the most genuinely dog-friendly city hotels we’ve stayed in – where dogs aren’t just allowed, they’re truly welcomed.

Cost & Value
Standard rooms at art’otel London Battersea start from around £250 per night, while Junior Suites begin at roughly £500 per night, depending on the season and availability. It’s definitely a premium stay, but one that delivers on space, comfort and service. Considering it’s a five-star hotel, it actually sits more in the mid-range bracket for London.
There’s a £50 fee per pet for the duration of your stay, which is actually great value if you’re staying more than a couple of nights. Considering how well dogs are welcomed, it feels justified.
Food & Drink
Both breakfast and dinner were served in TOZI, the hotel’s vibrant Italian restaurant.
Breakfast included a cold buffet with pastries, fruit and cereals, alongside a hot à la carte menu. The coffee was great, and while my French toast was lovely, the overall breakfast offering was more “good” than “exceptional”… But I am a big breakfast fan! As TOZI is Italian-inspired, a traditional full English isn’t on the menu (we tried to piece one together from sides, but it quickly added up). I’d recommend sticking to the main dishes instead.
For dinner, we started with beef tartare and freshly baked bread with olive oil. For mains, we had the steak and the lobster linguine, which was delicious and steaming hot, which is rare for a pasta dish. Both were beautifully cooked and full of flavour. For dessert, we shared tiramisu and a chocolate tart. We didn’t really have room, as the portions are generous, but it would be rude not to…
The relaxed but refined atmosphere made it an easy place to relax, whether for breakfast, dinner, or an evening drink at the bar.

art’otel London Battersea is a brilliant choice for anyone looking for a dog-friendly London stay that feels stylish yet completely relaxed. The design is creative and modern, the staff genuinely care about their guests (two- and four-legged alike), and the location couldn’t be better for eating out, socialising and shopping.
