Spooky season has officially arrived at Pets at Home and I obviously had to go and investigate.
The Halloween collection is back for 2026, with dog toys starting from just £1.50, plenty of costumes and accessories, some very cute autumnal knitwear and a few things that are, quite frankly, completely ridiculous.
Here’s what I spotted in store…
Halloween dog toys from £1.50
There are some seriously affordable little Halloween additions this year, including a £1.50 doughnut toy, £2.50 pack of Halloween tennis balls and a £5 mummy dog toy.
And for dogs who believe bigger is always better, there’s a giant version of the Halloween doughnut for £6.
Halloween costumes & accessories
This is where things start getting fun.
I spotted a witch hat for £2, ghost bandana for £3 and bat wings for £3 – which I’m already convinced I need to turn the pugs into Batpugs. There are full outfits too, including an £8 spider costume and £10 devil costume.
Possibly my favourite find was the Little Pumpkin jumper for £10.
There’s also a black ghost knit for the same price, but I feel like the pumpkin jumper is slightly easier to justify because it can be worn throughout autumn rather than just for Halloween. Girl math at it’s finest.
For the horror fans
Pets at Home has really gone into horror this year, with licensed character toys including Friday the 13th and Gremlins. The Jason toy was £6, while the Gremlins two-pack was £12.
And perhaps the most questionable Halloween addition of them all… a £18 coffin-shaped dog bed, complete with a ‘Do Not Disturb’ lid. Is it just me or is there something slightly wrong about putting your dog in a coffin, even if it is a very cosy one?
What would you pick?
I actually think Pets at Home has done Halloween pretty well this year. There are plenty of silly little things for a couple of pounds if you just want your dog to join in, alongside costumes, jumpers and bigger pieces if you’re really committed to spooky season.
Personally, I’m still thinking about the Little Pumpkin jumper. And the bat wings.
