There’s something very exciting about discovering a brand new hotel before everyone else does, especially when your dog is welcome too. Across the UK, a number of new dog friendly hotels are opening their doors this year, from countryside escapes to stylish city stays.
In this feature, we’ll be rounding up some of the most exciting new openings for dog owners, including everything you actually need to know before booking – dog fees, how many dogs are allowed, any rules or restrictions and the little extras that make a stay feel genuinely dog friendly.
Whether you’re planning a weekend away or simply love keeping an eye on the latest openings, these are the new hotels we think are worth knowing about.
KABN Cairngorms
KABN Cairngorms is the latest addition to the KABN collection, joining the brand’s two established luxury cabins at Loch Fyne. Opening in Summer 2026, this private cabin is set within a secluded 4,000-acre estate in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. Designed as a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, it offers guests the chance to switch off, slow down and experience one of Scotland’s most spectacular landscapes.
For Dog Owners
Well-behaved dogs are welcome at KABN. The surrounding landscape offers exceptional access to miles of walking and exploration right from your doorstep. Guests are asked to be mindful of the wildlife and the retreat’s quiet nature. KABN charges £50 per stay (up to a maximum of 2 dogs) which includes a 10% donation to the Scottish SPCA as well as dog goodies on arrival.
The Gallivant, Littleton
The Gallivant is set to open a brand new coastal property at Littleton Beach in Kent this summer, although very little has been revealed about the hotel so far. While we wait to learn more, its award-winning sister property at Camber Sands offers a glimpse of what guests can expect. Awarded a Michelin Key, The Gallivant has built a reputation for stylish coastal escapes, exceptional hospitality and seasonal dining at Harry’s restaurant, all just moments from the famous dunes of Camber Sands. Room rates start from £145 per night at Camber Sans, but we will keep you updated on prices at Littleton when we have more info.
For Dog Owners
If the new Littleton Beach property follows in the footsteps of its Camber Sands sister hotel, dog owners have plenty to look forward to. The Gallivant at Camber Sands sits directly opposite the beach, with miles of golden sand to explore, while nearby Winchelsea Beach and the dog friendly cafés and restaurants of Rye make excellent day trips. Selected Deck Rooms feature private outdoor decks, making them particularly well suited to guests travelling with dogs. At The Gallivant in Rye, dogs can stay for £25 per stay. We’ll update this guide with more information about The Gallivant Littleton Beach as soon as details are announced.

We’ll continue to update this guide as more details about the reopening are announced.
While the hotel’s dog friendly offering is still being finalised, they have confirmed that dogs will be welcome in the stable accommodation and all but one of the woodland cabins. Dogs will receive a bed, bowl and treat during their stay and will be welcome in most public areas, although they won’t be permitted in the Garden Restaurant or the house bedrooms. The charge is expected to be around £30 per dog, per stay, although this is subject to confirmation before opening. We’ll update this guide as soon as the full pet policy is released.
