Remember that salt dough is not edible and should be kept well away from snooping sniffers and hungry hounds, if your dog may be tempted to gobble anything off the tree we recommend use airdrying clay instead.
Ingredients:
- 4 cups flour
- 1 cup table salt
- 1.5 cups water

- Mixing Bowl
- Parchment Paper
- Mini Cookie Cutters
Method
- Preheat the oven to its lowest temperature and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper
- In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Pour in the water and stir until the mixture forms a cohesive ball.
- Transfer the dough onto a floured work surface and shape it according to your desired model. You can roll it out and use biscuit cutters to create shapes roll the dough thick and gently press your dogs paw into the tough to form an imprint. Don’t forget to poke a hole at the top for hanging after baking
- Bake for 2-3 hours. Check every 20 minutes until the shapes are just firm to the touch. The baking time may vary based on thickness and size.
- Remove from the oven, let them cool, and, if desired, paint with acrylic or use glitter!
