Many places are full to the brim, and finding availability is just another added hurdle when it can already be tricky enough to find somewhere dog friendly. We’ve pulled together some of the most quirky staycations across the UK, which are not only dog friendly, but available in the next three months! From Scotland, to Kent and places in-between, we’re bound to have something that tickles your fancy.

Boutique Barge On London’s Canal

Grab your trusty sea dog and swap a hotel or house for a boutique barge! Two boats are available and are each located in central London on Regent’s Canal.

Each boat provides the perfect city break in close proximity to dog friendly eating, drinking, shopping and entertainment.

Onboard you can find a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and other contemporary touches like modern technologies and toiletries. The barge comfortably sleeps up to 4 adults and 1 child with one well behaved pooch, making it ideal for a family trip, or a bit more spacious for a couple.

Gypsy Caravan In The Scottish Borders

We love this little Gypsy Caravan squirrelled away in the beautiful Scottish Borders! The Rosa Bella is the dog friendly one where up to two dogs are welcome to stay for an additional fee of £10 per night.

The interior styling has pretty deep gold, turquoise, ruby and garnet colouring throughout. It’s complete with two bedrooms, a kitchen and a shower room. This snug space is suitable for up to four humans. By day, the caravans are surrounded by wildflowers, meadows and birdsong. By night, you can snuggle your pooch by the fire-pit and gaze at the stars under the dark skies.

Eco Dome In Brecon

These award-winning glamping pods provide an off-grid alternative break, away from the trappings of a hectic life. It is perfect for those who love the idea of a low impact and environmentally friendly pod with everything provided.

Here you can find seven glamping geodomes, set on four acres of woodland and water meadow. Each one well-spaced out with its own fire pit and a stylish wood-burning stove to keep you toasty overnight. You can also find your own private hot tub to sink in while watching the sun go down.

Inside you’ll find thick feather duvets and contemporary soft furnishings, including cosy Welsh blankets, throws, sheepskins, and crisp bedding, as well as its own private toilet hut. There are shared woodland showers available. Each sleep up to four humans and two dogs.

Pretty Shepherds Hut In Kent

This pretty little Shepherd’s Hut is surrounded by pretty green fields, ever-growing wildlife and buttercups. We have no doubt that both you and your pooch will love unwinding in the bird-song and starry night skies. This place is the perfect base for adventures with plenty of gorgeous views, walking distance of two friendly pubs and the coastline of the South East of England just a bone’s throw away.

Inside you can find a separate shower room, fully equipped kitchenette, and a big cosy bed. Up to two humans are welcome to stay along with one well behaved pooch.

Sleepy Little Log Cabin In Aberdeenshire

We love this cosy little nook in the pretty village of Welland, half resting within the beautiful Malvern Hills, Worcestershire. It sleeps up to two humans and two dogs.

It is wonderfully presented throughout, with a compact kitchen, family shower room and comfortable double bedroom providing lovely country views for you to wake up to.

In the rear garden area where you’ll find an orchard in which you and your pooch is free to roam around. It’s a haven for wildlife with sightings of deer, rabbits and bats, as well as an array of apple, cherry, plum and pear trees.

Glamping Lodge Monmouthshire

These two dog friendly, luxury glamping lodges can be found in the heart of Monmouthshire in South Wales. Each sleeps from two to six humans and two adorable floofs. Dogs are welcome at the Skirrid Fawr and Sugar Loaf for an additional cost of £25 per dog.

Each accommodation comes complete with a functional kitchen, an outdoor BBQ area, heating, a washroom and an en suite shower room. When you’re back after a day of dog friendly adventures you can unwind and relax in your own private hot tub with a glass of bubbly, or rest up on your terrace with a good book. Plenty of walking routes and dog friendly pubs nearby.

Bramley Orchard Glamping

This lovely glamping hut is set in a beautiful orchard, offering an eco-friendly retreat for two humans and one pooch in Nottinghamshire.

With so many quaint villages and bustling market towns nearby, this quiet little retreat provides a wonderful base for outdoor adventures. On the doorstep you can find plenty of walks, including circular routes taking you out of Hayton and around Clarborough along the Chesterfield Canal (one of the most beautiful and varied waterways in England).

The glamping hut itself features a cosy open-plan living space, pretty kitchenette and a traditional wood-burning stove in the heart of the property which is great for snuggling with your canine in the colder nights.
