Christmas Gift Guide For Dogs and Dog Lovers

Many of us feel prickles of anxiety when it comes to finishing Christmas shopping. Christmas is just around the corner and the online delivery cut-off dates are creeping near. We’re sharing our Christmas Gift Guide For Dogs and Dog Lovers, with a variety of small businesses, we’re just dying to bark about.

Christmas Cards

Our favourite greeting card business Pawty Pooch has a quirky range of Christmas cards for or from the dog. ‘For the dog?’ I hear some of you remark, ‘they can’t read’.

We think our pooches deserve a little card on the mantlepiece, but for those of you unsure, Pawty Pooch shared a lovely idea with us. “All our cards are blank inside, leaving plenty of space to write down all the memories you enjoyed with the dog over the year. Then over the coming years, you can start to build a little memory book. They also make for GREAT Instagram photos”.

Pawty Pooch also has cards from the ‘grand-dog’ to Grandparents, and to other humans too. We love them!

All You Want For Christmas Is Chews – Brilliant!

Clothing and Accessories For Dogs

Just like a good Christmas jumper, we all love a Christmas bandana or bow-tie for the pooch. Our friends over Pooch Bandana have the biggest variety of high-quality dog bandanas and bows. They’re perfect for our furry friends, and you can even personalise the bandanas with the name of your pooch. Check out Pepper below under the mistletoe.

Forsyth and Tedd have a range of stylish clothing for dogs – primarily sighthound shaped dogs but they offer custom commissions for any shape or size. Clothing and gifts are practical and versatile made from high-quality fabrics. We especially love the matching human and dog snoods.

Bandanas, clothes, what’s missing? Of course the collar and lead! Our pals over at Reg & Bob have a great range of Collars and leads. All of their products are vibrant, practical and most importantly washable.

Eco Gifts For Dogs

Whether your pooch is a hardcore eco-warrior or you’re buying for an eco-minded or vegan dog lover. We’ve found a couple of gifts that will have your tails wagging.

First up, Lamina Animal, a selective range of luxury vegan pet supplies handmade in the UK. Grooming products, collars, leads and toys are all ethically sourced and made with sustainable plastic-free materials. We especially love the stuffing-free butterfly toy. For every butterfly sold they plant a tree and give 10% of the purchase price to support charities such as Dogs on the Streets London and Street Vets.

FETCH.IT Poo Bags – the perfect eco stocking filler. FETCH.IT is very passionate about earth-friendly products. Their bags are compostable, made with cornstarch, which means that the bag degrades within weeks into natural elements which aren’t harmful to the environment.

Gifts For Dog Owners

Lazy Flora, the perfect gift for dog owners who love sprucing up the house with household plants. As we mentioned in our Garden Guide earlier on in the year, many plants are toxic to dogs and cats. Lazy Flora has a range of pet-friendly plants. They also have a monthly plant subscription where every month they send a beautiful, premium quality pet-friendly houseplant.

The Scruffy Little Terrier Club has a large range of Christmas gifts for both human and hound. Gifts in homeware, clothing, accessories and dog bandanas, featuring unique illustrations and designs. We especially love the 2020 diary featuring an adorable illustration with the quote “Make your life merrier with our scruffy little terrier”.

We talk about clothing and eco-gifts for the dogs, but what about for humans? Tors and Co have a great range of organic clothing to choose from! All items are made in a renewable energy powered factory, and when you no longer want the t-shirt you can send it back to be renewed. With quirky slogans, this Puppies t-shirt is definitely on our Christmas list.

Cosy Beds For The Dog

With the winter chill sweeping across the UK, it’s important that your pooch has a cosy bed to snuggle into. Christmas is the perfect excuse to buy one and we have a few favourites.

A favourite of ours, Lupo’s Nest! These eco-friendly and hypo-allergenic nests are made from materials that are naturally repellent to fleas, ticks and dust mites. They’re fluffy, filled with plenty of cushion for your pooch to snuggle into and help to regulate your dog’s temperature. Charlie suffers from allergies and this bed has helped him to overcome those day-to-day issues. Charlie and Minnie love to cosy up together on theirs.

Slumbering Hound has a range of cosy and soft Snuggle Sacks perfect for keeping your hound toasty. These are ideal for dogs who like to burrow and snuggle and great for camping trips and nights away from home. They also have a range of other snuggly products including Dog Cushions, Slumber Blankets and Christmas Cards.

The last day for Slumbering Hound bespoke Christmas orders has passed, however, they may have some ready-made stock available, contact them for availability.

Subscription Boxes

These boxes provide fun and goodies from month to month.

First up, Love Louie, personalised boxes to your dog’s needs, likes and dislikes. They also donate 10% of every sale to an Animal Charity of your choice. In total, they have raised over £6000 since last year for Animal Rescues all over the world.

Christmas Hampers and Boxes For The Dog

Finding all this overwhelming? These businesses take all the stress out of shopping and source products for you.

Luxury Dog Hampers sources products from small dog businesses from across the UK. All hampers are filled with 100% natural and healthy goodies for your dog with no nasty additives, artificial flavours or colourings. All hampers are presented in a reusable wicker basket.
