If you’re searching for a dog friendly farm shop in the Cotswolds, Daylesford Farm is probably already on your radar.
I finally visited and it’s one of those places that actually lives up to the hype.
It’s not cheap, but everything about it feels intentional. From the food to the interiors to how welcome dogs are, it’s very well done. You can easily turn this into a full dog friendly day out in the Cotswolds. Let me tell you how…
Dog Friendly Restaurants at Daylesford
One of the main reasons to visit is the food… and it doesn’t disappoint.
The restaurants at Daylesford Farm are genuinely very good. They offer simple, seasonal food done properly without overcomplicating things. We had breakfast in The Old Spot, which felt like the perfect place to start the day. I went for the eggs and avocado and a cappuccino (which was spot on). Inside, there were sofas, fireplaces and a really cosy atmosphere. Dogs were properly welcomed rather than just allowed in and it made for a really nice environment.
There are a few different restaurant options on site depending on the vibe you’re after – from more casual café style dining to slightly more elevated, sit-down options, so it’s easy to tailor it to the kind of visit you want.
If you’re looking for a dog friendly café in the Cotswolds with a cosy interior, this ticks every box.
Dog Walk From Daylesford Farm (Adlestrop Circular)
If you’re visiting with dogs, don’t skip the walk.
The Adlestrop and Daylesford Circular Walk starts right from the farm, which makes it ideal if you want to plan a full day.
Here’s everything you need to know.
- Distance: 8.2km
- Time: 2–3 hours
- Start point: Daylesford Farm
- Route: Daylesford → Lower Oddington → Adlestrop → back to Daylesford
You’ll walk through the Daylesford grounds before heading towards Lower Oddington, then loop through Adlestrop (including the church) before returning. There’s a short stretch of road walking, but nothing too much.
If you want to break it up, you can stop at The Fox for a drink.

Daylesford Farm Shop Review
After the walk, this is where you’ll spend time. The farm shop at Daylesford is more of an experience than a quick browse.
The produce is incredibly fresh, and there are full counters of pre-made food that all look and taste very good. The bakery is also excellent. Alongside that, there’s a huge range of homeware, from candles and reed diffusers to well thought-out pieces for the home.
It’s definitely on the expensive side, but the quality is there and you can see it in everything.
From an interiors point of view, it’s also very strong. Everything is styled properly, so you end up walking around slower than you planned, just taking it all in. There’s also a garden centre area with a coffee van, which is worth a wander.
As an interior photographer, this is very much my kind of place. Everything is styled properly, with a real attention to detail, so you end up walking around slower than you planned, just taking it all in. There’s also a garden centre area with a coffee van, which is worth a wander.
The Daylesford Dog Shop
The dog shop is easily one of the highlights.
If you’re looking for luxury dog products in the Cotswolds, this is one of the best places to go. It’s the fanciest range of dog products I’ve seen. Everything feels very high quality, very considered, and very in keeping with that countryside aesthetic that Daylesford does so well.
It feels more like a boutique than a pet shop. Think neutral tones, natural materials, and products that actually look good in your home rather than something you want to hide away. From beds and bowls to leads, treats and accessories, everything is curated in a way that makes you want to buy into the whole lifestyle.
It’s not cheap, but it doesn’t feel overpriced for what it is. You can tell it’s been chosen carefully, and it’s one of those places where even if you don’t buy anything, you’ll still enjoy having a proper look around.
Things to know before visiting Daylesford Farm
Before visiting Daylesford Farm, it’s worth knowing there’s plenty of on-site parking, so arriving is easy. It’s genuinely dog friendly across both the farm shop and restaurant spaces, which makes the whole experience feel much more relaxed. On site, you’ve got everything from restaurants and a bakery to the farm shop, garden centre and dog shop, so there’s a lot to explore.
There’s also a spa and accommodation available, so you could easily turn it into more than just a day trip.
Daylesford sits firmly in the “expensive but worth it” category.
If you’re into good food, interiors, and properly dog friendly places, it’s one of the best dog friendly places in the Cotswolds to visit.
