As a nation of dog lovers, we’re always on the sniff for places where we can share a cuppa with our furry pals. If you’re wagging your tail at the thought of popping into a Costa Coffee with your furry friend in tow, you might need to pause that wag. So, is Costa dog friendly? Let’s dig into the nitty-gritty and find out.
Is Costa Dog Friendly?
The short answer is no. Costa Coffee generally has a no-dog policy across their stores, except for assistance dogs.
However, don’t let your tails droop just yet! While the official stance is pretty clear, there’s a bit of a waggle room at the discretion of individual store managers. Yes, you read that right! Some Costa Coffee stores around the UK might roll out the welcome mat for your four-legged friends. It seems that the decision can vary from one store to another, depending on the manager’s preference. Other stores may let your dog sit outside with you.
So before you head out, it’s wise idea to do a bit of detective work. A quick call to the store or a friendly question to the staff will quickly give you the answer. If you discover your local Costa is dog friendly, be sure to let us know by commenting below. That way, other people can learn this tail-wagging info.

Im happy for people to have dogs, but i certainly wont visit cost, that i visit costa, i usually 6 days a week, it gets my husband and i out. Health and safety has never been thy best in costa, but i refuse to sit in a room eating a snack, with dogs, it seem that animals are more important than people to them. Very sad old couple.O))
Ive been a 6 day a week customer, but i wont enter cota again. It upset me when i see tht people and children have beenattacked by dogs, now i find it dangerous to visit costa. Apart from that i feel sick thinking of smelli dogs in a cafee shop. I have gift cards for costa from my children because they knew it got my husbavnd and i out if thyr house, now they are worthless to us.i i. Think costa would be better training their staff to clean, and make them aware of health and safety.and listen to customersrequest, to prevent more people from losing their life. ..
