Meet The Dogs Looking For Homes At Greenacres Rescue

Greenacres Animal Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue centre in the heart of the Pembrokeshire countryside. They have been rescuing animals and helping them to find forever homes since June 2008. The animals rescued are mainly strays collected by the local authority.

Local Authorities provide seven days care for any lost dog with the hope of reuniting with the owner. For dogs that serve their statutory time without being claimed, Greenacres makes a commitment. They take full responsibility for these dogs with no discrimination of breed, age or health problem. With the long-term aim of finding them a forever home.

They also work across the UK to ensure every animal has a second chance.

Earlier this year they won an Animal Star Award in the Animal Rescue/ Rehoming Centre category.

Our Chosen Charity For Bark Aid

We are proud to support Greenacres Animal Rescue through Bark Aid 2021. What is Bark Aid we hear you woof? It’s an online dog show with 12 show-stopping categories. All the proceeds goes to charities like Greenacres Animal Rescue. It only costs £2 to enter a photo of your furry best friend, but that £2 can go a very long way to supporting the dogs who need it the most.

A spokesperson for Greenacres said;

“Greenacres Rescue is delighted to take part in Bark Aid. We are grateful to have been chosen. In these very difficult times, it is great to receive such support from our friends . Especially those at Dog Furiendly, Burns Pet Nutrition, Animal Friends Insurance and the businesses that are all giving help.”

Money raised for the charity will support them in many ways, including providing suitable shelter, feeding the animals and providing veterinary care.

Meet The Dog’s Looking For Homes

One of the vital services Greenacres offer is dog adoption. Greenacres is dedicated to finding dogs their new forever homes. Providing a safe and loving home for the dogs and new furry best friends for owners.

There are many lovable rescues currently waiting to be adopted:

Bella

Bella is a five year old British Bulldog. Best suited to an adult only home, with dog experience. She needs someone willing to put in a bit of time and training to help her be the best she can be. Bella really is a sweetheart once you love and understand her. Neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, Bella will come with a Burns Pet Nutrition adoption pack plus 5 weeks free Agria pet insurance.

Dylan

Dillon is 2 and gets looked after well at Greenacres Rescue

Dillon is a two year old Bull Lurcher. He arrived at Greenacres Animal Rescue as a youngster born in a barn with his sister. Best suited to an adult home, or a home with older teenage children. He is very handsome, medium size and once he knows you friendly and loving. He loves nothing more than to curl up on the sofa with his family. Neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, Dillon comes with a Burns Pet Nutrition adoption pack plus 5 weeks free Agria pet insurance.

Nero

Nero is 7 and is being looked after at Greenacres Rescue

Nero is a seven year old small crossbreed. He could possibly be a dachshund cross. Sadly an injury a few years ago has left Nero with some additional needs and mobility issues, he is not in pain but does require a level of care and support that is more than your average dog. Nero needs a very special person to love and care for him. He has been in a short term assessment foster home and although other dogs present he would probably do best as an only dog, he needs a patient, attentive owner but also someone that will have clear boundaries and the home must be cat free. Neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, Nero comes with a Burns Pet Nutrition adoption pack plus 5 weeks free Agria pet insurance.
