Take Part In Our Great Doggy Bake Off Competition

Do you have what it takes to be Star Barker? Our virtual competition starts later this year, with a series of weekly baking challenges and tasty recipes for dog owners to try at home!

Our tails are wagging to team up with Doggy Desserts, Animal Friends and Burns Pet Nutrition. We’ve been working closely with them to ensure the weekly recipes are safe. They’re also providing fantastic prizes to our Star Barkers!

When Does It Start?

The Great Doggy Bake Off launches later this year 2021.

How Do I Take Part?

Recipes will be shared every week via social media and email. To take part, dog owners will need to submit their attempts via social media using the #greatdoggybakeoff.

We’ve worked with our partners to ensure all recipes are both safe and tasty for dogs.

Star Bakers, also known as Star Barkers, will be in with a chance of winning weekly prizes. Prizes are TBA. The competition accumulates with a Great Doggy Bake Off Champion.

Why The Great Doggy Bake Off?

The Great Doggy Bake Off aims to celebrate our loving and loyal four-legged friends, who can have such a huge impact on mental well-being and mindset.

Research from the Kennel Club, found that many long-term owners were comforted and calmed by their dog throughout the pandemic, with 91% saying their dog had a positive impact on their mental health.

Founder of Dog Furiendly, Adele Pember said: “We’re excited to entertain our nation of dog owners over the four-week lockdown. We’ll definitely be giving out a big virtual ‘paw-shake’ to the best, but also celebrating some fantastic fails (because we can’t all be like Paul and Pru!)”

“Dogs across the UK have been providing owners with so much unconditional love and friendship during lockdown, so it’s great to be able to return the favour by baking some tasty dog treats!”

The event saw many dog owners take part last year, including Adriana and her two dogs Korey and Kasey. Adriana said: “We are very excited about The Great Doggy Bake Off! It’s a great way to treat our pups to homemade goodies and it’s an activity we can do separately or together as a family!”

“In this new world, where we spend so much more time indoors, it’s very helpful to have a weekly activity to do: something to look forward to. It’s also a great way to boost our creative mind and distract ourselves from the daily worries!”
