Hello, I’m Piper, a bouncy one-year-old cockapoo from beautiful Wales. I love playing with my favourite toys, Duck and Lamb, or having a good old fashioned splash around. Our mission? To discover and share the best doggy-friendly spots around. This adventure? It took us straight to Coed y Mwstwr for an afternoon that would be simply unforgettable: doggy afternoon tea. Trust me, it’s the kind of tale even worth barking about!

Coed y Mwstwr Afternoon Tea: A Paw-licking Journey
Just another one of my usual mornings: get up, shower Mum with lots of morning kisses, and lay out my squirrel-chase plan. However, Mum decided to make this Tuesday a “Tasty Tuesday.” I was feeling very stylish in my dickie bow- would this be the day finally got to sample that really interesting fox poo? Little did I know, the day had much more in store.
Gathering Nan and my buddy Riley we left our mundane daily routine and drove out into peaceful countryside. Approaching a large red building surrounded by lush greenery with the sweet chirping of birds on all sides, I knew something special was ahead.
Entering the Coed y Mwstwr Hotel, the atmosphere was tail-wagging. Following a very warm reception from the people at the reception desk, we had been shown to a table reserved just for us—royalty indeed!
A Feast Fit for A Royal Pup
The service was impeccable, with staff members coming over to shower us with attention. The best part? A three-tier afternoon tea extravaganza adorned with paw prints, loaded with delectable delights like bacon meatloaf, sweet potato cakes, crispy fried treats made of bacon, and frozen doggy yogurt. Every single bite was just simply a joy—a real culinary celebration for the canine palette. My buddy Riley and I truly ate until we were full, though wishing in our hearts for seconds!

As our mums enjoyed their human treats, I couldn’t help but overhear their delight over the scones and profiteroles. Though not for me, their enjoyment added to the day’s charm.
Post-Tea Exploration In Coed Y Mwster
Our adventure didn’t stop there. We spent the afternoon pottering nearby woods, playing amongst leaves and trees while Nan relaxed in more tranquil gardens surrounding the hotel. Not only was the doggy afternoon tea at Coed y Mwstwr drooley delicious: but the warm welcomes made this place even more speicial.
So, am I going back to the Coed y Mwstwr for another afternoon tea? Absolutely – barking certainty!
