Located in the heart of Lymington, Stanwell House is a stylish boutique hotel that welcomes well-behaved pups with open paws. We love their dog-friendly Terrace Rooms. They are situated on the ground floor, offering direct access to the terrace area – ideal for those late-night or early-morning toilet breaks. Stanwell House is beautifully designed, with lots of cosy soft furnishings.
Dogs are welcome in the Orangery and Salt Bar, as well as the garden. We would recommend eating outside in the summer, as their garden is beautiful. The food here is top-notch, making it a treat for both you and your furry companion. Located in the heart of Lymington High Street, Stanwell House is well positioned for a spot of shopping with your dog. We found Lymington to be really dog-friendly too!



2. Shepherd’s Hut at New Forest Glamping, Bransgore

For a cosy and rustic retreat, consider the charming Shepherd’s Hut at New Forest Glamping in Bransgore. Set within the stunning New Forest National Park, this dog-friendly shepherds hut offers a perfect blend of traditional charm and modern comforts.

The White Buck in Burley is a characterful dog-friendly pub with stylish boutique rooms. Once an Edwardian country house, it backs onto forest woodland, for easy access to some of the best walks the New Forest has to offer.
Dogs are welcomed into the pub and bedrooms and on arrival they will find a bowl, blanket, and treats, which our taste testers thoroughly enjoyed. The White Buck is the perfect spot for a quintessential British holiday in the New Forest… What’s more British than staying in a pub with your dog?

4. The Montagu Arms, Beaulieu

For a special occasion, or for bougie pups, The Montagu Arms in Beaulieu offers luxury and elegance. Their dog-friendly Courtyard Suites provide direct access to a shared courtyard, allowing your pup to enjoy the outdoors… and ideal for toilet breaks. While dogs aren’t permitted in the main restaurant, they are welcome in the bar and drawing room, ensuring they can still be part of your dining experience.
The Montagu Arms has direct access to the Bucklers Hard walk – one of the best rated footpaths in the New Forest. Their interiors are beautifully designed and many of the Courtyard Suites have a freestanding shower as well as a rollmop bath tub – perfect after a long day of walking in the New Forest.
