Pottery with the Pooch – Spin Pottery Glasgow

Pottery with the Pooch - Spin Pottery Class Glasgow

This week’s guest blog comes from our Explorer Claire and her lovable pooch Paddy. Claire and Paddy visited Spin Pottery in Glasgow for a unique experience where they could mould Paddy’s lil paw print into clay something I’m sure she’ll cherish furever. Claire shares her experience at Spin Pottery below.

Meet Paddy

An adventurous, 5-month-old Rottweiler from Glasgow. Paddy’s always busy scoping out the latest #furiendlyfind in his city and beyond with his humum Claire. Visit his Instagram for their latest adventures @paddytherotty.

Paddy and I were invited to Spin Pottery in Glasgow which is in the Hidden Lane in Finnieston!

The owner Leah has recently opened the business and is a total dog lover just like the rest of us! Leah has been doing ceramics for five years and teaching for three, so has plenty of experience in this wonderful art.

When she opened her own business she decided to make it dog friendly because she LOVES dogs!

Paddy and I were invited to take part in a fully guided lesson with Leah. This gives dog owners the chance to get crafty with their pooch, by creating paw prints in clay (which is non toxic and totally safe for our doggos). Once you’ve made your paw print, Leah creates it into a keyring or tile for you! She also suggested trying a bowl or a mug- depending on the size of your dog and what is do-able.

Leah is SO welcoming and she’s absolutely amazing with dogs- little and large! It’s a fun activity to do with your dog and you get a lovely keepsake at the end of it! She makes it so personal to you and wants your input on everything so she can make sure you’re 100% happy with it!

I would definitely recommend this to anyone, it’s something new and unique! She has an Instagram account @spinpotteryglasgow for you to check out and message for more info!
