When embarking on my own search for the ideal UK-based mini moon, we had no idea just how many styles of staycation there are to choose from. Partial to a city break where you can explore well known restaurants, book cultural activities or just hide away in a stunning hotel? The following hotels are based in some of our favourite cities.
Rosewood London
Rosewood London is one of the city’s most iconic five-star luxury hotels. The Grade II listed The Grade II-listed, Belle Époque building has been sensitively renovated with the feel of a stylish London residence. The hotel boasts everything from a British brasserie to garden terrace, a champagne bar in Mirror Room serving Art Afternoon Tea to the award-winning Scarfes Bar with live music and creative cocktails meaning there is something for everyone to enjoy.

The hotel is pet-friendly and when we visited earlier this year, we were welcomed by all of their team with open arms. Lilah was treated like the princess she truly is. Partnering with Lily’s Kitchen for meals and Barbour for in room amenities including a dog bed, bowl and fun toy, the hotel has thought of everything you need to stay in your home away from home. Pet sitting and grooming is also available in their pet package so you can go off to the Sense, A Rosewood Spa to enjoy a treatment of your own.

Kimpton Hotels
With hotels in London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow, Kimpton are far more than pet friendly. They go above and beyond with their dog package at no extra charge. Your dog is welcomed by name, you’ll find a dog bed, mats and food & water bowls in your room and there are special door hangers so that staff know there’s a dog staying in that room before entering. The concierge can give you all the pet friendly recommendations you need for exploring outside the hotel, they’ll even give you a courtesy bag for walks. Fancy a little along time away from your pooch? Kimpton Hotels have partnered with Wag! so you can find local walkers and sitters in the area.
