Dog Friendly Spa Experiences For Your Mini Moon in the UK

Weddings are full of hustle and bustle. After the wedding whirlwind, there’s nothing better than having something else to look forward to. More and more dog owners are opting for sharing their happiness with the dogs by booking a dreamy little mini moon, right here in the UK.

Our friend @lilahthewhippet spent a long time searching for a magical mini moon break where her dog could bask in the happiness too. In this article, they’re sharing some of the dog friendly cabin escapes that made the shortlist.


When embarking on my own search for the ideal UK-based mini moon, we had no idea just how many styles of staycation there are to choose from. What better way to recover from your blissful big day than with a spa break?  But can you take your dog too?  Here are some beautiful spa spaces with specific pet packages, so your dog will feel as pampered as you.

Historic Sussex Hotels, Sussex

Upon arrival at the hotel, your pooch will find food and water bowls and a comfy bed. Depending on the package you pick, you may even end up with a couple of other surprises:

There is tons of space to run around. At Bailiffscourt and Ockenden Manor there is ample outdoor space for dogs to run free, Bailiffscourt has 30 acres.  At The Spread Eagle, there’s a beautiful small garden and The South Downs National Park is just a few steps away, where there are endless dog walks and sniffs for them to enjoy. At Bailiffscourt, the beach is 7 minutes away and at Ockenden Manor, there are a number of beautiful countryside walks you can take right from the hotel doorstep.  Guests can ask their reception teams for the best routes to suit their requirements.

Each spa is set in a beautifully designed building.   The experience goes way further than purely treatments.  Depending on which hotel you choose, highlights include indoor and outdoor pools, walk through rainforest showers, relaxation rooms and tranquil spa gardens.

Every spa boasts specific treatments for men, facial therapies, massage therapies and more.

Price is per room based on one dog sharing with two adults. Additional dogs charged at £30 per dog per night.

Mallory Court Country House Hotel & Spa

This quintessential hotel & spa boasts 10 acres of green space for you and your dog to enjoy.  What’s more, there are areas where your dog can run free and enjoy some off lead time.  

Upon arrival, your pet can expect the full works.  With a welcome letter, a dog bed with a comfy cushion, a bowl, poop bags and treats you have four less things to worry about when packing for your mini moon escape. 

Now, down to the serious stuff… Spa treatments range from beauty and skincare to massage.  You can look forward to booking a range of treatments from full body wraps, to hot stone massages, to facials or pre and post natal treatments.  This will be a total recovery from your big day. 

Prices from:  £230.00 per room, per night, based on two people sharing a Superior Deluxe Room on a B&B basis.
