As many of these markets take place on the streets of cities and towns our furry best friends are welcome to join us for the festive fun. Whether you’re looking for a night away somewhere or want crimbo on your doorstep you’ll be simply having a wonderful Christmas time at any of these markets.

What better way to get that festive feeling than walking your dog in a winter wonderland! Remember Christmas markets can get quite busy, particularly nearer Christmas time. We recommend heading out during quieter times.

Dog Friendly Christmas Markets

Bath Christmas Market

With artisan stores and shops bordering the beautiful abbey Bath market looks fantastically festive. Best of all, Bath market is free to visit with your pooch. Enjoy a mulled wine while you take in the beautiful architecture of the city.

Edinburgh Market

The twinkling Christmas lights of the Edinburgh market welcome all visitors. With rides, shops, Santa grotto and even an ice rink there’s something for everyone. Don’t forget a cosy scarf to keep you and your dog warm.

Winter Wonderland, London

Hyde Park is home to one of the best dog friendly Christmas markets in the whole UK! However we would recommend visiting earlier in the day when it’s quiet as it can be very busy in the evenings which may be overwhelming for your pooch.

Oxford Market

Seeing the decorations around the beautiful towns of Oxford is one of the highlights of the year. This market has everything including performances from choirs and local bands to get you in the Christmas spirit.

Sheffield Christmas Market

This dog friendly Christmas market is running until Christmas Eve. There’s a great Alpine bar and lodge which is open from 10am-11pm every day. Stroll around the market and keep warm with a delicious hot chocolate or mulled wine.

Manchester Christmas Market

This is one of the biggest Christmas markets in the UK, attracting thousands of visitors every year. The only area dogs are not allowed into is Albert Square. The award winning market has over 300 chalets offering food, drink and beautifully hand crafted gifts.

Birmingham German Christmas Market

This Frankfurt Christmas market has become an annual festive attraction in the Midlands. The famous giant Wurst sausages and German beers are not to be missed! Organisers do advise that weekends in particular can be very busy so you may wish to consider a quieter time to visit with your dog.

Bristol Market

The Christmas market in Bristol stretches from Harbourside all the way to the shopping quarter. Dogs are welcome to enjoy this market with their owners provided they are kept on leash. This year they even have igloos you can sit in!

Cardiff Christmas Market

Explore the streets of Cardiff with your pooch and discover chalets with delicious food and hand crafted gifts. Not far away is the cities winter wonderland as well as a stunning festive walk around Bute Park which has been covered with Christmas lights.
